👤 Speaker Bio

Daniel Xue, originally from Shanghai and now based in Vancouver, is a film director and visual storyteller with a unique artistic perspective and extensive industry experience.
A graduate of RISD’s Film/Animation/Video Department—often hailed as the “Harvard of Design”—Daniel has directed five distinctive short films, earning selections at ten international film festivals and winning seven awards and nominations.
Blending Eastern and Western aesthetics in his work, Daniel continues to push creative boundaries and is widely regarded as one of the most promising emerging talents in North America’s film and photography scenes.
